Acuren Group is currently recruiting a NDT Branch Manager to support our Pacifics operations. This position will be based out of our Richmond office Location. This location provides local General NDT and API services for the Pulp & Paper, Oil & Gas, and Pipeline Construction and Integrity industries.
Reporting to the NDT Division Manager, this position is an on-the-tools manager who regularly performs inspections and supervises a small team of NDT and Visual inspectors.
  • Position is based in Richmond, BC
  • Some travel within the Pacific Region will be required as needed.
  • Position will be 40 hrs/week and possible overtime
  • Salary $51.46/ hr with 9% Supervisor uplift based on certifications
Responsibilities
Reporting to the NDT Division Manager, this position is an on-the-tools manager who regularly performs inspections and supervises a small team of NDT and Visual inspectors.
  • Staff training and development programs
  • Supervision, mentoring and technical guidance to a small team of NDT personnel
  • Perform assigned NDE/NDT inspection methods.
  • Utilize written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, and teamwork.
  • Follow standards and procedures and monitor to ensure accuracy of results and meets quality and safety objectives and project time-lines.
  • Ability to maintain positive working relationships with Clients.
Requirements
  • CGSB UT2, MT2, PT2 (preference given to candidates with RT2 as well)
  • Minimum of 2 years supervisory or leadership experience
  • Minimum of 5 years NDT experience with 3 years UT Shear Wave inspection.
  • CSA W178.2 Level 2 Inspector with multiple endorsements
  • Preference will be given to candidates with API Certifications (API 510, 570 and/or 653)
Required Abilities and Attributes:
  • Responsive to Client’s needs on a continual basis with a focus on building strong relationships with local clients and grow existing operations.
  • Solid coaching and mentoring skills in the provision of technical guidance, direction, mentoring, training, and skills development to personnel.
  • Highly collaborative approach to working within a team of Branch and Site Managers.
  • Excellent technical report writing skills – position requires the review and approval of technical reports and timesheets.
  • Assist regional Compliance Managers in the investigation and documentation of near misses, safety incidents, and non-conformances.
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to multi-task and perform under the pressure and work extended hours.
  • Valid driver's license
  • IRATA training or willingness to obtain is an asset
