Location: Western Sydney, Australia (National travel)

Their clientele includes sectors such as oil & gas, chemical, petrochemical, manufacturing, food and beverages, pharmaceutical, and water treatment.
Role Overview: Our client is seeking an experienced Technical Sales Representative to drive sales growth within the water, beverage, and brewing sectors. Reporting directly to the National Sales Manager, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in expanding the company's market presence. The position, based in Western Sydney, involves significant national travel for client meetings and training sessions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop sales growth and market expansion strategies within the designated industries.
  • Collaborate closely with customers, engineers, and end-users to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Showcase in-depth knowledge of the product range and its applications, particularly in water quality and process analysers for breweries, beverage industry, water treatment facilities, and councils.
  • Demonstrate exceptional communication skills to articulate how the company's products contribute to client efficiency and sustainability goals.
  • Contribute to marketing initiatives, including market intelligence gathering and promotional activities.
  • Participate in joint sales calls, training sessions, and conferences to enhance knowledge and skills.
  • Contribute to business planning and develop personal growth plans.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling proposals and presentations to customers and distributors.
  • Provide technical support and exceptional customer service.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities using CRM system and proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Conduct customer training on product usage and maintenance.
  • Minimum 5 years of direct technical sales experience or promoting instrumentation in relevant industries.
  • Degree or diploma in engineering, sales, or marketing (electrical background preferred).
  • Proficiency in instrumentation and online analysers.
  • Existing contacts within target markets would be advantageous.
  • Passion for working with a market leader and willingness to travel.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented individual with a strong technical aptitude.
