Key Responsibilities:

• Legal Documentation: Draft, review, and negotiate various legal documents and commercial contracts, such as distribution agreements, contract manufacturing agreements, e-commerce agreements, IT/software agreements, and marketing agreements.
• Compliance and Regulatory Matters: Provide advice on compliance and regulatory issues, ensuring the organization adheres to contractual, regulatory, and statutory requirements.
• Contract Management: Maintain the contracts management database, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
• Dispute Resolution: Manage contractual disputes effectively.
• Mergers and Acquisitions: Assist in acquisitions and disposals, including due diligence, disclosure, and the drafting and negotiation of sale and purchase agreements.
• Legal Compliance Training: Contribute to legal compliance training for the wider business, covering topics such as bribery, corruption, and competition law.
• Intellectual Property: Assist in the management of the trademark and patent portfolio, working with IP agents to protect the international trademark and patent portfolio.
• External Communication: Communicate and negotiate with external parties, creating an environment of trust and integrity.
• Sanctions and Export Compliance: Monitor controls to ensure compliance with sanctions and export regimes in countries where the Group operates.
• General Legal Support: Provide relevant support to ensure the protection of the Group's data and assist with general legal queries.

The Person:

• Qualifications: Qualified practicing Barrister or Solicitor in England and Wales.
• Desirable Experience: general corporate & commercial, e-commerce consumer trading, IP, data protection, outsourcing, dispute resolution, legal and ethical compliance law.
• Business Judgment: Sound commercial judgment with excellent business partnering capabilities.
• Communication Skills: Engaging communication skills with the ability to present complex legal information in a user-friendly manner to legal and non-legal senior stakeholders.
