Senior Accountant I Up to $154K Incl super I Permanent Position

This position will involve close collaboration with key internal reporting, business partners and joint venture stakeholders to provide accurate financial reporting and identifying opportunities for best practices.

About The Role
This position will involve close collaboration with key internal reporting, business partners and joint venture stakeholders to provide accurate financial reporting and identifying opportunities for best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive month-end closure and statutory reporting.
- Perform month end process including depreciation calculations, recurring journals, bank reconciliations, revenue recognition and cost allocation.
- Preparing various financial reports which can include reports such as financial statements, cashflow analysis, budgets, and forecasts.
- Prepare relevant balance sheet and P&L reconciliations and guide the finance team to achieve month-end reporting targets.
- Refining existing procedure and processes as required or where possible.
- Minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in financial accounting roles.
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills; experience with SAP is a MUST.
- CA or CPA qualified.
- Experience in a financial accounting role/function with ownership of monthly close accounting process.
- You have the ability to be hands on and practical in developing solutions to meet relevant standards and requirements.
- You have high attention to detail, strong organisational capabilities, and a track record in recommending and implementing process improvements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to influence and engage a broad range of stakeholders.
