About The Role
The Senior Learning Strategist at Avalere Health has a well-developed holistic-learning “point of view.” You can articulate and implement the development of learning strategies and/or curricula resulting in the delivery of learning programs, experiences, assets, and processes that are based on the client’s strategic objectives.
As a Senior Learning Strategist, the crux of the role lies in collaborating with the client, discovering and identifying their needs and recommending a holistic solution for learning and content delivery which is not just feasible, but also innovative and aligns with the brand strategic imperatives and current market trends.
You'll work very closely with the sales account team to deliver prospective clients with sales training presentations and proposals with the best possible business/learning solutions for the client to help win the business and/or grow the account.

About The Role

As a Senior Learning Strategist, the crux of the role lies in collaborating with the client, discovering and identifying their needs and recommending a holistic solution for learning and content delivery which is not just feasible, but also innovative and aligns with the brand strategic imperatives and current market trends.
You'll work very closely with the sales account team to deliver prospective clients with sales training presentations and proposals with the best possible business/learning solutions for the client to help win the business and/or grow the account.
What You'll Do
- Analyse client needs and recommend innovative solutions for learning and content delivery.
- Consult with clients on suggested approaches and tools.
- Propose and design creative instructional direction for new and existing clients.
- Work with Instructional Designers and writers to outline and conceive learning/training plans and design documents, and strategies and solutions for clients while determining how to implement these key learning components.
- Help win new and repeat business by making sure that the client’s experience with Avalere Health is a positive one, and that Avalere Health is perceived as a “best in class” learning partner.
- Work with the sales account team to develop an understanding of the prospective and current client’s needs/priorities/initiatives and provide them with content and consultative learning solutions that can support and enhance their strategic business objectives.
- Participate as the learning and instructional design expert, working with the Instructional Designers and/or sales account team to write and refine presentations, proposals and learning/training plans.
- Provide learning best practices, lessons learning from past client experiences, and general coaching.
- Identify gaps to determine what client learning content needs to be updated and/or developed.
- Review any existing client content and understand how new content should be integrated.
- Analyse post-training results to create continuous learning/training designs including content, modalities of training delivery and evaluation methods.
- Maintain close contact with client to ensure strategic business objectives are being met through the design and implementation of on-going learning solutions/training plans.
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Education, Instructional Design or Adult Learning, or Life Sciences with adult learning principles acquired through experience. Master's degree in Education, Instructional Design or Adult Learning, preferred but not required.
- Minimum 3 years designing and writing learning solutions in an agency setting
- At least 5 years of experience working as a Learning Strategist with Pharmaceutical and Biotech Sales Training clients
- Demonstration of a thorough understanding of the pharma sales training environment is preferred
- Knowledge of adult learning, training, testing, educational concepts, program design, implementation, and performance measurement is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of the pharmaceutical promotional compliance environment and subsequent policies.
- Solutions oriented with a demonstrated talent for positively implementing value added programs.
- Strong client-facing skills with the ability to listen intently and ask in-depth questions to determine client needs, foster trust and build long-term client relationships and partnerships.
- Ability to travel to client meetings (periodically)
