Overview


We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Manager to join our

dynamic team in Singen, Germany. This position offers a unique opportunity to lead

a critical project in the life sciences sector. The successful candidate will play a pivotal

role in the design and construction of a state-of-the-art production facility for

vaccines.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the engineering design process from the Basic Design phase through
  • Detailed Design, Pre-Construction, and Construction phases.
  • Ensure the quality and integrity of the overall design meets project
  • requirements and industry standards.
  • Lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers and coordinate with the project
  • manager, subject matter experts (SMEs), and client stakeholders.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the engineering team.
  • Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to address project
  • challenges and ensure alignment with project goals and objectives.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively to meet project
  • milestones and deliverables.


Additional Details

  • The project is currently in the Basic Design phase and is expected to progress
  • into Detailed Design and Pre-Construction in late summer/autumn, with
  • Construction anticipated in Q1 2024.
  • The project team consists of a Project Manager, several SMEs, and 20-25
  • Engineers from the engineering provider, in addition to staff members from
  • the end client.
  • The Engineering Manager will be responsible for ensuring the overall design
  • quality, as well as overseeing general project coordination and stakeholder
  • management.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience in engineering management, preferably in the life sciences
  • or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate team members.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in English
  • and German languages.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management, including scheduling,
  • budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
