- In your new role, you have the medical responsibility for new assets for Obesity, Non-Alcoholic Steatohepatitis (NASH), Cardiac diseases, and/or Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), currently in late-stage clinical development, to achieve a successful launch of new indications.
- As (Senior) Global Medical Advisor you are responsible for scientific platforms, medical communication and publication strategies as well as the Product Maintenance and Optimization strategies for each substance or project under your responsibility as delegated by associate Therapeutic Area Head of Medicine (aTA HoM).
- In your new role, you are the medical expert in internal committees with regard to your area(s) of responsibility; you provide medical input to pre-clinical development, and cross-functional Medico-Marketing-Market Access and disease area strategies.
- With your expertise, you review marketing plans, scientific engagement plans, and scientific publication plans according to established procedures.
- Furthermore, you work in close collaboration with Early and Late-stage Clinical Development team members to ensure smooth transition of assets across various development phases.
- You are representing Medical Affairs in the Evidence team, and you collaborate closely with the Value and Asset team of respective asset(s)
- You collaborate with internal regional Medical Affairs and local operating companies, and external stakeholders to ensure insights are appropriately reflected across medical plans.
- You serve as clinical expert for academic and professional queries and interactions in the field of Obesity, Non-Alcoholic SteatoHepatitis (NASH), Cardiac diseases, and/ or Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD).
- Doctoral degree (PhD, MD etc.) in Medicine or a related field with clinical/ scientific experience in Medicine, preferably in Endocrinology/Metabolism, Gastroenterology & Hepatology, Nephrology, Cardiology, or Internal Medicine; Clinical or Pharma experience in the US is a plus
- Some years of experience in Medical Affairs within pharma industry, with experience in introducing new medicines and/or expansion of indications to the market at a local or regional/global level
- Experience of working in a local operating company and/or a regional/ global environment
- Experience in registering products in Europe, the US and Asia; track record of interactions with regulatory affairs authorities, international societies and other relevant stakeholders, e.g. reimbursement authorities
- Excellent communication (oral and written), negotiation and influencing skills
- Ability to act with grace and resilience under pressure as well as excellent presentation, training and facilitation skills
- Doctoral degree (PhD, MD etc.) in Medicine or a related field with multiple years of clinical and scientific experience in Medicine, preferably in Endocrinology/Metabolism, Gastroenterology & Hepatology, Nephrology, or Internal Medicine; Clinical / Pharma experience in the US is a plus
- Longstanding experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with experience in introducing new medicines and/or expansion of indications to the market at a local or regional/global level
- In-depth regulatory or reimbursement expertise with prior successful interactions with various regulatory/reimbursement agencies
- Excellent leadership communication (oral and written) as well as negotiation and influencing skills
