In this context, we are looking for a Bioprocess Development Specialist to lead the design, implementation, and execution of expression strategies using mammalian cell lines or E. coli expression systems to support several discovery projects. Additionally, the candidate will play a crucial role in implementing new technologies, such as Wave bag and CX7 systems.

Duties and key responsibilities:

Design, implementation and execution of the expression strategy :

• Ensure and/or perform timely and accurate data generation.
• Actively participate in internal meetings, presenting laboratory results with a focus on quality interpretation and extensive quality checks of raw data.
• Uphold the highest ethical standards, promote good scientific practices, and ensure data integrity in daily scientific activities.
• Regularly participate in and contribute to weekly lab meetings, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing within the team.
• Provide supervision and training to team members in techniques relevant to the expression systems.

Technology Innovation and Implementation:

• Implement new technologies, specifically Wave bag and CX7 systems, to enhance team capabilities and maintain state-of-the-art standards.
• Ensure and /or perform timely and accurate data generation.
• Actively participate in internal meetings, presenting laboratory results with a strong emphasis on quality interpretation and extensive quality checks of raw data.
• Uphold the highest ethical standards, promote good scientific practices, and ensure data integrity in daily scientific activities.
• Regularly participate in and contribute to weekly lab meetings, promoting the integration of new technologies into the team's workflow.
• Provide supervision and training to technicians and other scientists.

Qualifications:

• PhD in Life Sciences with min. 2 years of postdoctoral or relevant pharmaceutical industry experience. Or master’s degree with min. 6 years of experience in pharmaceutical industry.
• Extensive expertise in Molecular Biology, recombinant protein expression and protein biochemistry
• Additional experience in laboratory automation, microbiology and/or immunology is an asset.
• Fluent in English (both oral and writing); proficient in French (both oral and writing) is a plus.
• Result-oriented, rigorous and structured.
