AWS/CES is looking for a Quality Assurance Manager for a global beverage company.

Location: Tokyo, Japan

Salary: JPY 9,775,600.00

Summary:

Join our team as a Quality Assurance Manager in Tokyo, Japan, where you will oversee and maintain programs ensuring compliance with local regulations and company standards, with a primary focus on Japan and Southeast Asia. Under the guidance of the Quality Assurance Director APAC, you will play a crucial role in managing quality compliance and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage quality compliance program in collaboration with the QA Director.
  • Assist in remediation efforts for deviations, nonconforming materials, and complaints.
  • Conduct audits, including GMP and HACCP, to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Stay updated on local regulatory requirements in Asia.
  • Aid in the development of qualification/validation protocols as needed.
  • Develop performance reporting tools to evaluate compliance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Conduct GMP/HACCP/SOP training sessions as required.
  • Participate in technical reviews to ensure GMP/regulatory compliance for raw materials, finished goods, and manufacturing processes.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, safety guidelines, and GMPs.

Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of experience in a Quality Assurance Leadership role within the food, dietary supplement, or pharmaceutical manufacturing industry.
  • Strong supervisory skills with 5+ years of quality management or quality engineering experience.
  • Experience in auditing contract manufacturers and raw materials.
  • Familiarity with Japan and Southeast Asia's Good Manufacturing Practices standards.
  • HACCP training/certification preferred.
  • Regulatory Affairs Certification (RAC) is a plus.
  • Proficiency in writing procedures for regulated industries.
  • Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Auditing experience in GMP, HACCP, or other regulated industries.

  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Strong multitasking and follow-up skills.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Japanese
  • Approximately 30% travel required, including international.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of general statistics for manufacturing operations.
