Metrology Assistant

Your role
The Maintenance Services Electrical and Instrumentation Group provides the support services to support and maintain all the electrical and instrumentation infrastructure on site. This includes the management of the Preventative Maintenance program, provision of shift operation support and general E&I technical support. A metrology service is also included within the group.
This role reports to the Metrologist to support the maintenance and calibration activities of the department in compliance with established policies to achieve a reliable, cost-effective quality service to its customers.
Your Responsibilities

• Assist with the processing of all documentation, hard- and soft copies, associated with the CMMS and the calibration database systems as directed
• Support in organising and managing all vendor related calibration activities and service/repair of calibration/reference equipment
• Aid in the management of all calibration equipment required by the E&I team, and help ensure that all new calibration equipment is created and kept up-to-date in the CMMS
• Assist in managing and orderly storage of the calibration reference equipment in the E&I workshop
• Perform the calibration and verification of data loggers and similar equipment, including generating and uploading calibration/verification certificates as directed
  

Your Experience

• Experience in the maintenance/servicing of instruments in a modern pharmaceutical plant or similar process plant, including temperature, pressure, flow meters etc
• Knowledge of predictive, proactive and reliability-centred maintenance
• Experience in the use of the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
• Experience in engaging with external vendors for calibration purposes
• Knowledge of various measurement principles and how this may impact calibration results
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
• Experience in troubleshooting issues and finding solutions in a fast-paced environment
