CDI - Packaging Technology Development Manager (H/F)

MAIN ROLE
In this position, together with the Sr. Manager Packaging Technology, you will support and implement the innovation strategy in Packaging Technologies. One of your main roles will be to execute the innovation roadmap, in relation to emerging technologies and D2D objectives.
At the same time, you will bring a significant expertise in equipment’s, protocols, and execution of trials to scale up processes from lab scale proof of concept until field pilots for industrialization.
To help DANONE accelerate in its different businesses knowing Packaging produced (60%) or bought (40%) is a key driver of DANONE Sustainability Ambitions. You will work in close collaboration with the other Advanced Technology Packaging departments, as well as Local R&I packaging and Operations departments. As such, you will be strongly internally connected at Central and Local R&I and Operations level, and externally with our established suppliers network and an ecosystem of innovative partners. Part of your role will be to deliver specifically the Packaging Technology Roadmap participating to the common Innovation roadmap elaborated with Central Operations.
MAIN MISSIONS

• Support Innovation
• Manage and execute projects related to the Packaging Innovation roadmap, that have been prioritized within Advanced Technologies / Operations
• Execute the evaluation of available solutions in close collaboration with suppliers / external partners, and the supervision of the Sr Manager packaging Technology.
  

ð Testing and Evaluation can be done in our Lab/Pilot facilities OR at supplier locations depending on Project phase and Technology considered.
ð Responsible to request adhoc new material or upgrade in the Lab/Pilot for technologies considered on the projects managed.

• Reverse engineering of new packaging solutions already or emerging in the market
• Animate or contribute to subjects related to innovation within Expert communities on an Adhoc basis.
• Co-build Packaging specifications.
• Protect and valorize the developed knowhow.
  

ð Create and deliver training modules for R&I / Operations

• Support implementation on the field & Trouble Shooting
• Support the Sr Manager Packaging Technologies in the 1st implementation of Innovations on manufacturing sites together with Operations.
• Support addressing issues where expertise from Advanced Technology is needed Testing, evaluation and recommendation

About you
The criteria below remain indicative. A candidate who has a different combination of experience and skills could also be considered.
Background / Technical Skills / Experience
You have a Master in the field of Packaging Technologies (Engineering, Development, Materials ).
You are familiar with industrials operations related to ISBM, EBM, FFS or FS technologies including the final application field of the packaging, Aseptic, HotFill, Cold Fill, E.S.L., ….
You have some work experience in Packaging Industry (Suppliers of Packaging), Packaging Development or Implementation in FMCG companies (Food industry, Cosmetic and/or Luxury, Pharmaceutical, ….) ideally in R&D or Manufacturing/Operations.
SKILLS You Are Or Have
Open minded and curious, willing to discover, build and push the boundaries, defending new ideas
Agile yet very organized, capable of dealing with several projects
A true collaborative mindset, valuing collective work
A real capacity to connect, to build solid relationships internally and externally
Fast doer and adaptable
Hands-on, interested by a real industrial mindset,
using Lab/Pilot work to co-build recommendation on Solutions and Specifications.
Always with a pragmatic approach Test/Fail or Succeed/Learn/Repeat
