UK Accounting Manager

Purolite is seeking an Accounting Manager to join our growing finance team based out of Llantrisant, Wales. The Accounting Manager is a member of the Purolite Finance Team reporting to the European Controller. This position leads the accounting execution of Purolite UK and Purolite Swiss month end close process and oversees the production of periodic financial reports; ensuring that the reported results comply with applicable accounting and reporting standards. This includes supervising and preparing and financial statements, analysing and reconciling accounts, producing budgets and forecasts, preparing audits, and managing internal controls. We are looking for an Accounting Manager with strong analytical skills with an affinity for a challenging environment within a fast-growing company.

What You’ll Do

• Supervising and performing monthly balance sheet, income statement and changes in financial position/budget variance analysis
• Supervising and providing timely, accurate and complete entries
• Assessing internal controls, including risk assessments and reviews of risk areas
• Maintain and improve processes, procedures and documentation
• Assisting in the preparation of budgets for review by management
• Maintaining collaborative partnerships with Global Finance teams
• Pro-actively anticipating issues by understanding close processes, working with various accounting teams to devise solutions, and monitoring existing controls and procedures
• Assist as needed with consolidation processes
• Support and cross train team members on project responsibilities
• Train and coach a team of 7 accounting professionals
  

What You'll Need
Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting and/or Finance
• Working experience in accounting
• This role is based on site 3 days a week and unfortunately immigration sponsorship is not available for this position
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional Accounting Certification
• Advanced verbal and written communication skills
• Previous experience coordinating projects between various functional groups
• Strong accounting background, attention to detail, and well-developed organizational skills
• Familiarity with consolidation accounting and consolidation systems a plus
• Experience with SAP and Microsoft Office Applications
• Ability to work with a high level of initiative and adaptability in a dynamic environment
