The Associate Director, Medical & Real World Data Analytics, a member of the Eisai Neurology US Medical Affairs (USMA) team, will be a key contributor conducting feasibility assessments and data analyses that support the Alzheimer’s Disease medical strategy. This role will report to the Senior Director, Health Economics, Outcomes Research and Real World Evidence.
The role requires cutting edge knowledge and experience with the latest databases (publicly available and licensed databases) and advanced analytic research methods. Real world data (RWD) analysis requires an intentional strategic approach fueled by excitement and passion. The successful candidate will also foster excellence working across the USMA team and serving as a liaison for data collaborations across the Eisai organization.
Responsibilities may include real-world data analyses in response to payer and KOL requests, data support for external collaborations, queries in response to internal requests for data, future data generation initiatives, sample size calculations for RWE studies to ensure appropriate recruitment numbers (e.g., appropriate power calculations, inclusion of subgroup enrollment targets), interim analyses for first look at data / continuous stream of publications, collaboration with the Clinical and other teams in data requests, understanding scientific rigor and robustness of competitive analyses, and provide support for Eisai internal review processes.

The base salary range for the Associate Director, Medical & Real World Data Analytics. is from :171,800-225,500
Under current guidelines, this position is eligible to participate in : Eisai Inc. Annual Incentive Plan & Eisai Inc. Long Term Incentive Plan.
Final pay determinations will depend on various factors including but not limited to experience level, education, knowledge, and skills.

Essential Functions (job Duties)
- Support implementation of USMA strategies aligned with the functional, business and patient needs to develop a compelling value proposition that drives optimal access and utilization of Eisai marketed products.
- Influence and shape sustainable advanced analytical solutions that align with USMA needs and are forward looking.
- Implement innovative approaches to generate evidence of the medical value of Eisai products and compounds.
- Conduct programming and ensure deliverables are consistent and compliant with study protocols, statistical analysis plans and case report forms.
- Actively collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., USMA, Clinical, Managed Markets, Marketing, Global Value and Access teams) to prioritize projects towards achieving effective utilization of resources, optimize alignment and timely deliverables.
- Provide oversight to external partner/vendor deliverables in line with defined objectives and scope for assigned products, and address critical escalations, as appropriate.
- Ensure excellence in the execution of studies by supporting internal Eisai reviews of study materials and data dissemination outputs.
- Masters or Doctoral degree in statistics, biostatistics or related field with 5+ years of relevant experience either within biopharmaceutical industry, healthcare organization or consulting firm
- Experience in design and execution of RWE studies, including prospective and retrospective studies that may use EMRs, patient charts, and administrative claims datasets.
- Knowledge of the Alzheimer’s field or neuro degenerative field a strong preference
- Fluency with large private and public datasets, handling of healthcare relevant datasets and execution of data analyses
- Experience in post hoc clinical trial data analyses.
- Demonstrated strategic and conceptual skills to develop innovative approaches to research.
- Strong ability to establish relationships with business partners and understand their needs.
- Experience with vendor management – ensuring timelines and expectations.
- Strong scientific communication record as well as ability to translate complex methods and results to diverse audiences is a plus.
