Eli Lilly Canada is currently searching for an engaging, inclusive, high performing sales leader, to lead the Oncology Sales Team.
Travel requirement-50%
As the National Sales Manager, Oncology, you will set the bar high, as the champion for our customers and a source of energy and passion for our sales team. You will create a high performing team culture focused on the delivery of exceptional customer experiences. You will be responsible for developing the sales team including recruiting and hiring members when needed. You will work to coach and engage our sales consultants, provide opportunities to develop skills and hold the team accountable for the delivery of the sales plan. You will create well-designed district action plans that set high expectations for your team, and you will monitor progress towards these goals.
You will have an active role in positively contributing to success across the entire business. You will effectively work and communicate cross-functionally within the organization and with key external healthcare providers and stakeholders. As a member of the Sales Leadership Team, you will take an active role in contributing to people development, human resource planning and capability development for the entire sales team.
Specifically, the National Sales Manager, Oncology is responsible for:
- Delivering the Lilly Canada Oncology sales plan in an ethical manner respecting the compliance environment and the core Lilly values.
- Recruiting, retaining, and developing sales team members
- Creating a high performing team culture in which all employees feel valued, heard, and respected regardless of their diverse perspectives, backgrounds, and social identities
- Coaching the team to high performance through development of selling skills and a focus on executional excellence of sales and marketing strategies
- Tracking and evaluating execution to ensure optimal field activity to grow customer engagement across multiple channels, leading to growing customer loyalty and brand uptake in the appropriate patients
- Developing district action plans that are aligned to the district goals and business unit strategy
- Engaging and recognizing the team
- Leadership of all district sales meetings and partnership in the cross functional team meetings
- Representing the sales team in annual human resource planning activities (performance calibration, development, performance management etc.)
- Ensuring that sales insights are brought into the customer planning process and other strategic initiatives
- Management of the overall district sales budgets
- Leadership in engagement with key thought leaders, and external stakeholders
- Driving innovative thinking across the sales team to respond to the changing environment
- Ensuring that the team understands the current compliance environment and operates within the guidelines and hold the team accountable for any deviations from the guidelines
- Challenging processes at Lilly Canada to improve our responsiveness to customers and ensuring that we optimize our efficiency
Requirements:
- University degree, prefer graduate degree in science and/or business
- Experience in pharmaceutical sales/sales leadership, with a preference for Oncology
- Experience leading a team is preferred
- Demonstrated coaching and people development skills
- Demonstrated creativity in problem solving and customer solutions
- Strong analytical skills-strategic territory management experience is an asset
- Demonstrated thought leader management capability
- Ability to work effectively across the organization
- Fully bilingual (French and English) preferred
Additional Information
