- Key responsibility of Pharmaceutical Project Management (PPM) role is to maximize the product value as project leader through the followings;
- Create strategies from long-term perspective which maximizes the value through product lifecycle.
- Define the Japan drug development plan for the molecule, new indication, or line extension (new formulation / delivery solution) by incorporating the medical, regulatory, commercial needs as well as customer voices, and then integrate the Japan requirements into the global development plan working with Global and Japan team.
- Lead the cross functional team (e.g., medical, clinical, regulatory, writing, statistics, safety, PKPD, New Product Planning) to obtain governance approvals and stakeholder endorsements with effective communication in order to achieve project deliverables, on time on budget.
- Lead affiliate level launch in collaboration with respective commercial leader.
- Lead medical affairs planning and ensure post marketing activities.
- The role will work through the drug development processes, leading discussion to make a robust clinical plan, oversee the execution including clinical trials, coordinate appropriate communication including stakeholder and decision making, and lead discussion for regulatory submission strategy.
- The Key deliverables are full portfolio coverage, simultaneous development and launches, and creating value across the entire product life stage.
- The role will be assigned to one of Therapeutic Areas (Immunology, Neuroscience, Diabetes, or Oncology)

- 新薬開発/適応追加/剤型追加等、日本の開発計画の策定をリードする役目を担います。日本のニーズ (メディカル、薬事、コマーシャル等)および顧客の声を取りまとめ、グローバルおよび日本のチームと協力して、Global開発計画に反映していきます
- プロジェクトリーダーとしてCross functionalチーム(メディカル、臨床、薬事、ライティング、統計、安全性、PKPD、新製品企画等)をリードし、効果的なコミュニケーションにより、社内のガバナンス承認やステークホルダーの支持を取得し、プロジェクトの成果物をon time, on budgetで達成します
- コマーシャルリーダーと協働して、日本での上市をリードします
- メディカルアフェアーズのプランニングリードや、市販後活動の実施状況を確認します
- PPMは医薬品開発のプロセス全体に関わります。すなわち、臨床計画の策定のための議論のリード、臨床試験を含む実施状況の確認、ステークホルダーを含む適切なコミュニケーションや意思決定のための調整、薬事申請の戦略議論をリードします。
- 主な成果物は、100%ポートフォリオカバー、世界同時開発と上市、プロダクトライフステージ全体を通じての価値創造です
- PPMは、自己免疫、中枢神経、糖尿病、オンコロジーのいずれかの領域に配属されます

- Can obtain broad skills and knowledge through various experiences.
- A degree in healthcare or science (BS/MS/PhD, MD)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in R&D function(s)
- Ability to lead and deliver in the volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous environment
- Ability to influence others positively, negotiate effectively, and manage conflicts effectively
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills both in Japanese (native, fluent, or proficient) and in English (native, fluent, or proficient)
- Project Management Expertise
- Strong strategic and logical thinking skills
- Business acumen
- Working experience in pharmaceutical industry
- Drug development and medical affairs knowledge and expertise
- Qualification in project management professional (PMP)
