Please note this is a full time, permanent position working a 37.5 hour flexible week between 07:00 - 19:00
Our client is a global leader in Life Sciences. We are currently recruiting for enthusiastic and innovative Biochemistry Scientists to support Operations based in Slough, UK.
- Demonstrated experience in a range of relevant analytical methods.
- Ideally experience of Phys-Chem methodologies like HPLC (affinity / SEC), icIEF, CE SDS would be beneficial supporting method developmental steps.
- Knowledge and experience of ELISA, Biacore / Surface Plasmon Resonance, and cell-based methods.
- Experience of working in a pharmaceutical environment, as well as working under aseptic conditions.
- Demonstrated knowledge of regulatory and GMP processes.
- Good time management, organization and planning skills.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work on own initiative and be capable of developing solutions to problems as part of a team.
- Willing to operate in a flexible manner and be able to switch priorities at short notice. Seeks new ideas to make improvements within own area of control.
- Ability to work using fully electronic media, including MS Office.
- Good team player, organised, accurate, have strong documentation skills.
- Passionate about quality and customer service and a team player
- Contribute to process improvement projects.
Qualifications
- BSc in a relevant scientific discipline.
- Experience of working in a pharmaceutical environment.
- Conduct biochemical method development using a broad range of analytical techniques.
- Demonstrate knowledge of regulatory and GMP processes.
- Utilize a broad range of specialised analytical equipment including HPLC (Affinity / SEC) based testing, electrophoresis, Impurity & Activity ELISAs and qPCR.
- Experience of ICIEF and CE-SDS would be desirable.
- Good time management, organization and planning skills.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work on own initiative and be capable of developing solutions to problems as part of a team.
- Willing to operate in a flexible manner and be able to switch priorities at short notice. Seeks new ideas to make improvements within own area of control.
- Ability to work using fully electronic media, including MS Office, chromatographic data systems.
- Good team player, organised, accurate, have strong documentation skills.
- Passionate about quality and customer service.
