Job Purpose:
ViiV Healthcare is seeking an experienced, passionate, results-driven professional for the position of Key Account Manager (KAM) on the Preventative Injectable commercial team and reporting to the Commercial Lead— HIV Prevention. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, complex environment and work with HCPs to adopt a new approach to HIV prevention will be essential to delivering success in this role. Additionally, the abilities to partner cross-functionally and to remain highly adaptable in a launch context will be critical. It is expected that the successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in developing strategic business plans with specific, measurable, action-oriented objectives in accordance with territory and account level goals. Successful outcomes will include selling to HCPs, servicing their accounts, and being aligned to ViiV Healthcare’s mission of leaving no person with HIV behind.
Territory: Majority of key accounts located in Toronto & Montreal core required in person in field. Rest of Canada interactions primarily held virtually and will be reactive based on customer requests.
Details (Your Responsibilities):
This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include some of the following:
  • Uncover care gaps, local barriers and key customer needs to drive strategic objectives for the accounts.
  • Ensuring launch success in HIV prevention by optimizing the patient journey and materializing innovative partnership opportunities and solutions that are at the intersection of HCP & patient journey pain points and brand priorities.
  • Develop and execute account plans that are tailored to the unique needs of each customer and that help HCPs scale their prevention model to reach more people at risk for HIV.
  • Embrace accountability and empowerment to make quick decisions that consider key business needs/impact while maintaining a “bigger picture view” and ensuring prioritization to overall objectives.
  • Be an agent of change by embracing the ambiguity in a launch environment and proposing solutions to challenges.
  • Engage with HCPs, nurses, staff, and administrators to accurately understand the clinical, organizational, and financial challenges and opportunities within target accounts. The national key account manager is at the forefront of customer and patient needs.
  • Coordinate, engage, and partner with multiple cross-functional team members to deliver an integrated ViiV customer experience.
  • Embrace and advocate for multichannel digital/virtual engagement and communication to ensure customers are receiving current and timely communications/value.
  • Understand and follow internal and external compliance and regulatory guidelines.

Basic Qualifications:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
  • The incumbent must be comfortable commuting to Downtown Montreal and Downtown Toronto and must live near these cities.
  • Ability to travel 75% of the time domestically which may include overnight travel, majority of time will be spent in Toronto and Montreal (vehicle will be provided).
  • Must be Bilingual English and French, with strong communication skills.
  • Must hold a valid G license for a minimum of 2 years with a clean driving record.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or Life Sciences is mandatory, MBA an asset.
  • Minimum of 5 years of pharma sales experience with a strong record of achievements and proven business acumen.
  • Strong understanding and experience in the development and execution of strategic account management principles
  • Strong planning and organization skills, analytical ability, business acumen, decision making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience partnering cross functionally within an integrated account team model that includes multiple field-based team members.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experience working with HCPs to procure, manage, and administer injectable products.
  • Knowledge of the HIV treatment and/or prevention markets preferred.
