Your new role
My client is seeking a skilled Demand Planning Manager to lead their demand planning and S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) processes. As the Demand Planning Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving forecasting accuracy, optimising inventory levels, and enhancing overall supply chain efficiency. You will lead a team of two experienced supply chain professionals, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental objectives.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute demand planning strategies to meet customer demand and achieve business objectives.
  • Lead the S&OP process, ensuring alignment between sales, marketing, finance, and operations functions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant data, identify trends, and forecast demand accurately.
  • Analyse data, market trends, and customer insights to inform demand forecasts and inventory planning.
  • Manage and mentor a team of two supply chain professionals, providing guidance and fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Continuously optimise demand planning processes and tools to enhance forecasting accuracy and efficiency.
  • Engage with senior stakeholders to provide accurate supply chain data, and confidently present data to help aid business decision making.
What You'll Need To Succeed
  • Strong experience in demand planning management and S&OP processes.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with experience managing and developing a team.
  • Proficiency in Excel and other analytical tools for data analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
  • Confident at dealing with senior stakeholders and able to defend your point of view, backed up with data, and challenge stakeholders where appropriate.
