The role:

ICON Clinical Research is currently looking to strengthen our successful Business Development team through the recruitment of a Executive Director, Business Development with responsibility for an EU territory.


As an Executive Director in the BD team, you will be responsible for leading a successful sales team (at BD Director level) promoting Central Laboratories (ICL) and Ph.II-III (ICR) solutions.


You will hold responsibility for both an individual and team sales target: generating new and repeat business for ICON Clinical Research throughout the Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology and Medical Device industries.


You will across various internal departments, ensuring a proposal process which maximises the opportunity for success and building revenue.


As an Executive Director within a leading global CRO, you should be able to drive relationships and seize growth opportunities, building upon our existing strategic partnership arrangements and networking throughout the industry for future partnership opportunities.


To be successful in this role you should have a solutions sales background, selling into Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology environments. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in selling global ph.III studies, however other backgrounds (labs, eClinical) will also be considered.
