The Inside Sales Representative I is part of a regional sales team that works together to identify new cell engineering business within the fields of protein production, genome engineering, cell therapy, and other technical areas. This individual will have a key role in supporting academic and commercial seminars and will help to increase sales across MaxCyte’s commercial organization. Works under direction
Work Location: This is a remote position supporting the regional sales team in Europe; ideal candidate will reside in Sweden. Candidates in Germany, UK, Spain, France, and Netherlands will also be considered.
Job Responsibilities
  • Creates a great first impression to prospects and customers by providing them with a world-class experience
  • Creates and prioritizes strategic target account lists within a defined territory alongside the Sales Managers to help qualify and hand off leads in order to fill their sales pipelines
  • Researches and builds new as well as existing commercial and non-commercial accounts
  • Employs an omni-prospecting approach that is comprised of using email sequencing campaigns, outbound calls, LinkedIn messaging, video outreach, etc.
  • Conducts high-level conversations with key decision makers in prospect accounts
  • Facilitates a smooth transition of qualified business opportunities to MaxCyte’s Sales Managers
  • Achieves quarterly and yearly quotas of qualified meetings and opportunities developed on behalf of the Sales Managers they are assigned to work with
  • Helps the organization to meet sales targets, provides accurate forecasting, and maintains leads, opportunities, and customer information in the Salesforce CRM database
  • Qualifies marketing leads and guides new leads to the products that best meet needs by coordinating with internal team to address customer questions or objections
  • Supports marketing events, both in-person and virtual
  • Supports the seminar process, outreach, and follow-up pre and post events using the available sales tools
  • Shares best practices for prospecting and account development with the regional and global commercial organization
  • Identifies and supports academic customer profiles critical to developing deals ranging from PIs, Lab Managers, and Postdocs to develop new opportunities with the field team
  • Complies with all applicable policies regarding health, safety, and the environment
  • BS in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or related field with at least 1 year of direct sales/marketing experience in companies that develop, market, and sell life science tools to biotechnology, pharmaceutical and research markets; or the equivalent knowledge and experience working in the lab in industry or academia
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly grasp and master highly technical biological concepts and articulate them well to others
  • Exceptional listening, verbal and written communication skills. Ability to articulate well and think quick on your feet
  • Strong desire to win business for the organization and open new doors in the commercial and non-commercial arena
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills combined with a customer-centric approach
  • Tech-savvy, who is well versed in utilizing sales tools like ZoomInfo/Seamless, Outreach/SalesLoft, and other enablement platforms; or has the willingness to learn new sales enablement platforms
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing landscape
  • Strong sales-oriented focus in a customer facing role
