Summary:
The Global Medical Affairs (GMA) Senior Director plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of healthcare by leading strategic excellence in executing global medical affairs programs for Rare Diseases. This position offers a dynamic work environment with opportunities for growth and impact.
Responsibilities:
- Leads as the Asset Medical Affairs Lead, guiding sub-teams and driving strategic direction.
- Acts as the scientific and clinical expert in Rare Diseases, shaping product development and commercialization.
- Drives the development and execution of the integrated Global Brand Plan.
- Coordinates product launches across regions, ensuring alignment and success.
- Champions publications, medical communication, and engagement strategies.
- Manages the medical budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
- Develops and executes the Asset Integrated Evidence Generation Strategy, leveraging Real-World Data and post-approval studies.
- Leads the development and execution of the Medical Access Strategy, ensuring broad patient access.
- Manages and develops direct reports within the GMA Rare Disease Therapeutic Area.
Experience / Qualifications / Competencies:
- MD, PharmD, PhD, or equivalent scientific degree.
- Minimum 5 years of Global Medical Affairs experience within the Pharmaceutical/Biotech Industry.
- Prior experience in Liver Disease Hepatology or Gastroenterology preferred.
- Proven leadership in international evidence generation projects.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration in a multinational environment.
- Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize and delegate effectively.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
