Electrical And Instrumentation Engineer

A market-leading chemical engineering organisation are currently looking to recruit an Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer on a permanent basis. The opportunity involves designing and commissioning a variety of electrical and instrumentation systems across multiple UK and European sites, most of the work can be done remotely with 20% on sites across Europe to be involved with commissioning.
Key tasks include:

• Designing and commissioning both LV and HV electrical systems across multiple sites
• Producing design packages, maintaining existing processes and procedures, as well as scoping maintenance plans.
• Proactively planning and engaging with internal departments and external contractors and suppliers.
• Developing and managing an electrical integrity program across UK and EU sites.
• Aiding in ensuring that project delivery and both fault-finding and subsequent remedial actions are to required standards.
  

To be considered candidates will need to have previous electrical and instrumentation engineering experience within a relatable heavy industry sector (e.g., Chemical, FMCG, Pharmaceutical, O&G Steel) and in working on designing LV & HV systems. A formal technical qualification in electrical engineering is also required (ideally Degree level). Solid practical experience is required in Earthing of power installations, Lightning Protection, Short Circuit Currents, LV Switchgear and Control gear and Maintenance process and associated indicators.
The position is based primarily from home (80%) with an element of travel (20%) Monday to Friday with a 37.5-hour week. As well as a competitive salary the position comes with an annual bonus, 25 days holiday, defined pension scheme, income protection, and life insurance
