Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Purchasing and Sourcing Supervisor. As a leading biologics company specializing in the manufacturing of drug substances, we rely on efficient procurement processes and strategic sourcing to support our operations. The Purchasing and Sourcing Supervisor will play a crucial role in managing both local and global suppliers, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality materials while maintaining cost-effectiveness. This position will collaborate closely with key stakeholders in Warehouse, Logistics, Operations, and Quality to meet production demands and uphold regulatory standards.
Responsibilities:
Supervise and lead a team of purchasing professionals while providing guidance, training, and performance feedback. Develop and implement sourcing strategies to optimize supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management processes. Oversee the procurement of raw materials, equipment, and services required for biologics manufacturing, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their purchasing needs and requirements, and proactively address any issues or concerns. Manage relationships with local and global suppliers, evaluating their performance, resolving disputes, and identifying opportunities for improvement. Monitor market trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes to anticipate potential supply chain risks and opportunities. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and overall operational excellence. Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to track purchasing and sourcing performance, and report regularly to management. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to procurement and sourcing activities.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management, preferably in the pharmaceutical or biologics industry.
- Strong leadership skills with proven experience in managing and developing teams.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Solid understanding of procurement processes, contract management, and supplier relationship management principles.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to pharmaceutical procurement (e.g., GMP, FDA regulations) is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in using SAP is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify insights, and drive data-driven decision-making.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
