For Trainees Covered By Annex 21 Where The Period Of Training Lasts For Between One And Four Years, Pay Will Be As Follows
  • Up to 12 months prior to completion of training: 75 per cent of the pay band maximum of the fully qualified rate;
  • More than one but less than two years prior to completion of training: 70 per cent of the pay band maximum of the qualified rate of the qualified;
  • More than two but less than three years prior to completion of training: 65 per cent of the pay band maximum for the qualified rate.
  • More than three years from completion of training: 60 per cent of the pay band maximum of the fully qualified rate.
The Role
To undertake pharmaceutical technical tasks within a designated area, on a rotational basis, using Standard Operating Procedures laid down by the relevant Senior Pharmacy Technician to maintain a high quality pharmaceutical service to NHS Lanarkshire hospitals.

What we'll need you to bring
  • Diploma/SQA National Certificate in Pharmacy Services or equivalent to enable registration as a pharmacy technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council
  • Registered pharmacy technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council
  • Undertake revalidation required by General Pharmaceutical Council and maintain a portfolio of personal and professional development.

It would be great if you also have
  • Carry out training on aseptic and cytotoxic drug reconstruction/manipulations
  • Experience in dispensing discharge, OPD and in-patient prescriptions
  • Experience in providing a ward or department stock top up
  • Understanding of hospital pharmacy services
  • Computer and Keyboard skills
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to organise and prioritise work
  • Team player
  • Participate in weekend and public holiday working
