During this 2-year program you will have the opportunity to get real hands-on experience and contribute to large-scale real-world investment projects.
What You Will Be Doing
This unique role combines financial modelling and digital responsibilities, helping us to optimise the investment processes, whilst maintaining a robust digital investment infrastructure.
As a Graduate Investment Operations Analyst, you will support with identifying opportunities to enhance and improve processes surrounding the investment decision. The role will require close cross-functional collaboration, collecting information and assumptions, and crafting comprehensive investment papers that assess value and potential risks associated with the opportunity.
In addition, your role extends to System Administration, where you will contribute to the oversight of our digital investment infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include participation in the design and implementation of system architecture solutions, aligning them with business objectives and ensuring the security and integrity of our digital investment infrastructure.
Main Responsibilities And Duties
  • Analyse investment processes for improvement, efficiency gains, and risk mitigation
  • Monitor and reconcile investment transactions, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of system architecture solutions aligned with business objectives
  • Provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with external vendors for efficient problem resolution
  • Collaborate with teams to enhance workflows, ensuring compliance
  • Continuously monitor and recommend adjustments to procedures
  • Provide operational support for executing investment strategies
  • Collaborate for seamless operational processes
  • Ensure the security and integrity of the digital investment infrastructure
  • Actively take responsibility for relevant systems by completing necessary certifications
About you:
We are looking for a versatile and detail-oriented graduate to join the investments team, with an emphasis on System Administration. The successful candidate will need to complete system certifications and remain adept in the latest technologies. Additionally, this will also require an element of technical support, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with external vendors for efficient problem resolution.
You’ll Need
  • On track to achieve a degree in Finance, Mathematics, Economics or a quantitative based related field.
  • Strong aptitude for technology and highly proficient in the use of MS Office particularly intermediate to advanced Excel and PowerPoint.
  • An analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and analyse complex financial and technical data.
  • Technical proficiency in system administration, ideally with experience managing servers, networks, and databases.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional and remote teams.
  • Proficiency in programming languages like Python, JavaScript, or Ruby would be advantageous.
  • Flexibility to align to the working requirements of a fast-paced graduate scheme.
  • Relevant work experience by way of placement would be desirable.

This is a hybrid role (2-3 days per week office based and the rest working from home). Office attendance is a requirement, and you will spend at least one day each week at our head office in Basildon. You will also have the opportunity to work from our London office.
If successful you must be able to evidence a valid right to work prior to commencement of employment, which must be valid for the 24 months duration of the graduate scheme. We are not able to offer sponsorship for our UK-based graduate programmes.
