As one of the largest early stage Clinical Research Organizations in the world, we have recently brought to life four ultramodern Clinical Research Units in the UK and US... and the jewel of the crown is our facility at Drapers Yard Leeds. This is a world class, state-of-the-art 65,000 ft² space with 100 beds (and growing), fully dedicated to Early Clinical research (and 7 minutes walking from the train station!)
This is where you come in, because we are growing our investigational research pharmacy team and are looking for our next pharmacy technician.

ON A NORMAL DAY, YOU WILL...
Learn. And grow. No two days will be the same; and this is because you will be exposed to a wide variety of Therapeutic Indications and study types (ascending dose, first-in-human, food effect, drug to drug interactions, etc.)
Regardless Of Your Projects, Every Day You Will Run The Pharmacy Operations With Respect To Inventory, Use, Supply, Storage, And Disposal Of Investigational Drug Products. In Particular
Gain a profound understanding of all allocated protocols regarding Investigational Medicinal Product (IMP) handling.
Reception, storage, packaging and disposition of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) and IMP
We have both worlds under the same roof: the clinic and a cutting-edge cGMP pharmacy. What does it mean for you as a pharmacist?

This is where you come in, because we are growing our investigational research pharmacy team and are looking for our next pharmacy technician.
- This is a full-time and permanent opportunity, working hours are 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday with very occasional weekend shift (typically under 4 hours and compensated with flexi time or overtime pay.)
- A Registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council in the UK
- Have a proven track record of working in a fast-paced and demanding hospital or industrial pharmacy setting
- Have experience working in cGMP, GCP and/or GLP environments

Reception, storage, packaging and disposition of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) and IMP
- This is based on a thorough maintenance and control of complete Pharmacy Inventory Management records with respect of the IMP/ API,
- Ensure the continued supply of any pharmacy stock items
- Ensure each supply is uniquely identified and integrity of blind is maintained,
- Create manufacture/assembly/dispensing instructions and the generation of labels for packaging,
- Final inventory control, after production is finished.
- Partnering with sponsor´s Clinical Research Associates on their data review visits to ensure Fortrea was compliant with the protocol, appropriate regulations and GMP/GCP requirements.
