Role: Key Account Manager in Urology

Territory: West Yorkshire and North Yorkshire

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Position Objective:

• Take ownership of designated territory for specialized urology brands.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to devise local account strategies aimed at fostering advocacy, improving access, and enhancing uptake of specialized urology brands.

• Engage with stakeholders across the healthcare spectrum, including payers and healthcare professionals (HCPs), to ensure availability of specialized urology brands in local services.

• Overcome local barriers to expedite access, promoting widespread prescribing in key accounts.

• Drive adoption of specialized urology brands within NHS services, integrating them into local pathways, guidelines, and treatment protocols.

• Translate NHS insights into actionable strategies to fuel growth within local accounts.

• Establish an environment conducive to unrestricted prescribing by implementing cross-functional tactics positioning specialized urology brands early in treatment paradigms.

• Drive product utilization across the health economy.

• Ensure implementation of positive protocols and guidelines within the local healthcare system.

• Achieve sales targets and expand market share within allocated accounts.

• Cultivate clinical advocates aligned with the company's vision.

• Collaborate with NHS localities to devise innovative solutions benefiting patients, the NHS, and the company.


Core Responsibilities:

• Instill a culture of compliance throughout the business, ensuring adherence to the companies' Ethics and Compliance standards.

Key Accountabilities:

• Meet sales targets within the designated territory.

• Serve as the local NHS expert, possessing a thorough understanding of the evolving NHS landscape.

• Cultivate strong relationships with key NHS stakeholders at all levels.

• Develop and execute territory business plans, contributing to regional and national plans.

• Develop local sales forecasts and contribute to regional forecasts.

• Assist the Regional Business Manager in creating and executing regional business plans.

• Engage with various stakeholders, including payors, physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other decision-makers.

• Adapt and update account plans to align with evolving NHS needs.

• Develop and execute local value propositions with clinical and payer stakeholders.

• Utilize tools and resources to drive change with stakeholders.

• Develop implementation plans for published pathways and guidelines.

• Identify and engage with clinical and non-clinical decision-makers.

• Provide market insights to the regional team.

• Implement advocacy development plans.

• Collaborate on ad hoc projects as required.

• Uphold personal compliance standards and contribute to embedding a compliance culture within the organization.


Competencies and Experience:

• Demonstrates a growth mindset, patient focus, strategic orientation, innovation, and results orientation.

• Proficient in managing key accounts within the pharmaceutical sector.

• Ideally holds a degree in life sciences.

• Experience in disease areas related to urology is advantageous.

• ABPI qualification preferred.

• Value and market access experience is beneficial.

• Capable of delivering effective local forecasts and demonstrating business ownership.

• Possesses a valid driving license.

• Familiarity with relevant compliance and regulatory legislation.

• Proficient in MS Office and various databases.

• Skilled in liaising with internal and external stakeholders.

• Exhibits a "can-do" attitude, self-motivated, and able to work autonomously or in teams.

• Competent in IT, including email, Microsoft Office, and CRM systems.
