Established in 2017, Q Works has been working across the built environment nationwide servicing Clients in Healthcare, Defence, Pharmaceutical, Manufacturing and Educational sectors. We are a multi-disciplined consultancy practice who consistently deliver required outcomes in complex and technical building environments.
With our experience of working in operational facilities, you would be joining a specialist team that takes care of projects in a live environment meaning our analogy of “rewiring a plane whilst in mid-flight” holds true with many of our clients and the projects we undertake.
About the role
We are looking to recruit a permanent member of the team, someone who can grow with the business and manage our North Bristol office in construction and engineering industry. The role is part time, 25 hours per week term time.
The role will be to manage the office function of the business and due to the dynamic nature of the business the role will always be evolving. Outside of the office function you will be supporting projects and supporting the wider team. This is very much a flexible role and offers the chance to develop your career.

Responsibilities
- Administering QuickBooks experience (or similar)
- General office administration.
- Budget holder for office supplies.
- Raising invoices and purchase orders.
- Preparation of payments list for directors to sign off.
- Liaising and administration to the outsourced HR & Finance function on a range of matters.
- Management of the company SharePoint site.
- Generally providing administration support to the team.
- Booking company travel and hotels.
- Provide an informal PA support role to the Directors, and generally supporting the Team.
- Creation of forms into company templates.
- Attend meetings and minute take.
- Take on specific business projects.
- Maintain employee training records.
Location & commitments
This role is office based from our North Bristol office in BS37 postcode area, there is a degree of flexibility but due to the part time hours it envisaged that the role will be primarily office based.
Candidate requirements
Generally, we would expect the candidate to have 2 years’ experience in an Office Administration/Manager role, if the candidate can demonstrate experience then formal qualifications are less necessary, although they would be advantageous.
- Excellent Microsoft office skills.
- Experience of administering accounting software preferred, especially QuickBooks.
- Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities to meet deadlines.
- Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Possess a high level of written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organisations skills and time management.
- Experience of working in a Facilities Management, Engineering or Construction environment.
- Note, candidates must be able to pass an Enhanced DBS check.
