Job Description
Develop, implement, and evaluate strategic, comprehensive communications plans aligned with business priorities and objectives to enhance corporate reputation.
Develop, implement and evaluate strategic external communication including .
Owned media strategies, including corporate website and social media channels.
Corporate branding
Crisis/Issue management communication effectively to protect reputation.
Develop, implement, and evaluate internal communications.
Executive communications, including interviews, town hall meetings, and executive messages.
Leverage global CSR strategies and Japan-specific CSR programs.
Collaborate with colleagues in the U.S. headquarters.
Strategically and effectively collaborate with third parties including patient advocacy groups, NPO, and NGO.
Manage public relations agencies as partners to drive results in communications plans.
【求められる経験・スキル / Required Experience And Skills】
Required Knowledge / Skills And Other Core Competencies
Strong background and experience in PR and Communications.
Ability to develop and execute communication plans to achieve goals.
Strong writing skills in Japanese and English to effectively deliver key messages.
Ability to understand challenges and issues to reflect them in the communications plan, providing consultation to related parties as a communications expert.
Effective communication skill to gain buy-in from internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to build good relationships and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to provide solutions to a complex issue based on knowledge, experiences and past cases.
Understanding of potential risks that may affect company and/or product reputation, and ability to lead communication activities where needed.
Focus on success as One Team to effectively implement a public relations program involving multiple stakeholders, being accountable and proactive.
Proactive approach to thinking, proposing, and acting, rather than waiting for directions.
Execution of plans with a good understandings of work process and time management, completing tasks as planned.
Ability to prioritize and effectively perform multiple complex tasks.
Strong writing, reading, discussion and presentation skills in Japanese and English.
Desire to learn and grow with mid- to long-term growth potential.
Flexibility, enjoyment of change, and ability to adapt to change.
[Work experience MUST to have]
Minimum 7 years of work experience in public relations/ communications.
[Preferred work experience Nice to Have]
Public Relations Experience At a Pharmaceutical Company.
Work experience in media or/and a public relations agency.
Public Relations Experience In a Global Company.
Experience in communication programs using social media, including results measurement and analytics.
[Academic background/ Major]
Bachelor's degree (regardless of major)
Japanese Native level
Business English (TOEIC score of 820 or more). Ability to communicate with senior management and U.S. headquarter counterparts in writing and/or at meetings.
