Senior Manager, Supply Chain

A leading manufacturing company in Burnaby is seeking a Senior Manager, Supply Chain to join their dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to lead and optimize the supply chain processes, driving continuous improvement and ensuring alignment with company objectives. The successful candidate will report directly to the CEO with purchasing, logistics, warehouse and inventory team reporting into them.
Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for all supply chain processes, procedures, and activities.
• Develop, plan, implement, monitor, and maintain comprehensive supply chain management strategies aligned with company objectives.
• Ensure the supply chain department meets the planning, procurement, and warehouse needs of production, sales, finance, and quality departments.
• Provide strong leadership and mentorship to the supply chain team, supporting their training, development, and evaluation.
• Drive continuous improvement by managing and developing key supply chain KPIs.
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with vendors, distributors, and customers.
• Manage communication, correspondence, and negotiations with suppliers and vendors to secure optimal pricing.
• Develop and optimize supplier pricing and supply contracts.
• Supervise all inventory in the supply chain process.
• Provide assistance to other departments to enhance warehouse functions.
• Identify and resolve process bottlenecks through inter-departmental solutions.
• Supervise the implementation of all supply chain projects and provide relevant expertise on company initiatives.
  

Requirements
Qualifications:

• Post-secondary degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related discipline preferred.
• SCMP or APICS designation preferred.
• Strong leadership experience and the ability to influence and motivate a large team.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 4+ years of practical experience in supply chain management or related area required.
• Experience in the food or pharmaceutical considered an asset
• Experience with ERP programs, such as SAP, Oracle, or Deacom considered an asset.
