Engineering Project Lead (all Genders)

About The Job
Main responsibilities:
The main mission of this position is the Tier 1 project execution, to deliver all key steps from Basic Engineering down to validation batches (on time, in full & at cost)

• Define contract model for all key steps from Detail Engineering, Construction & Qualification activities,
• Collaborate strongly with Global Engineering & Site teams (EHS, Operations & Quality) to manage basic engineering studies with optimized solutions.
• Study & build the project in accordance with EHS, Quality, Business & Users requirements focus on design to cost solutions.
• Manage, with a strong experience, Process and Equipment teams
• Implement Project Controls & Planning with appropriate SOPs.
• Manage external contractors and service providers to deliver & reach project objectives.
• Implement standard reporting (Monthly Project Report) to manage and communicate on Safety, Cost, Planning & Performance.
• Define with Cluster head & Site head appropriate governance to ensure efficient & effective decision making.
• Ensure that Sanofi EHS, Quality standards are implemented & validated before execution.
• Strengthen leadership and organizational capabilities within the team.
• Build and sustain high performance management team
• Ensure strong alignment and coordination with Site leadership teams.
• Anticipate, identify and communicate project risks on & across the site
• Create & track action plans to manage risk all along the project up to operations.
• Assist site teams during PQ & validation activities before full handover.
  

About You
Education and professional Experience

• Master’s degree in process engineering with at least 15 years of experience in pharmaceutical industries.
• At least 12 years process experience (P&IDs and equipment as fermenters, CIP units, clean utilities…) with an expertise on BLA process and API with a good knowledge of understanding of automation.
• Pharmaceutical facility start-up and /or manufacturing position experience.
• In depth knowledge in Chemistry and/or Pharma processes including aseptic technologies.
• Experience in managing complex projects and achieving significant business results.
• Strong leadership with experience in change management including Digital transformation.

Technical Skills

• In depth knowledge on Chemistry, Pharma and/or Biologics processes including aseptic technologies.
• Know-how in integrated commissioning and qualification for Pharma process.
• Strong knowledge on GMPs & EHS requirements
• Ability to manage complex projects achieving significant business results
  

Languages

• Excellent communication skills (written and oral) in German & English
• Further languages will be appreciated
