The Associate Director of Supply Chain plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless coordination of all supply chain activities within the company's operations. This individual will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the end-to-end supply chain processes to support the company's strategic objectives and meet the demands of a dynamic and rapidly evolving industry.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute supply chain strategies aligned with business goals, ensuring the efficient flow of materials and products throughout the supply chain network.
- Inventory Management: Implement inventory control measures to optimize inventory levels, minimize excess or obsolete stock, and ensure product availability while managing costs.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors, negotiating contracts, managing supplier performance, and ensuring compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Logistics and Distribution: Oversee transportation, warehousing, and distribution operations, ensuring timely delivery of products to customers while optimizing costs and enhancing operational efficiency.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks within the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions, ensuring continuity of supply and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve supply chain processes, leveraging data analytics and performance metrics to drive operational excellence and enhance competitiveness.
- Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to the supply chain team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning to achieve departmental and organizational objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in supply chain management within the biotech, pharmaceutical, or life sciences industry.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain principles, practices, and regulations, with a focus on GMP/GDP compliance.
- Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, supplier management, inventory optimization, and logistics operations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and lead teams towards common goals.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, data analytics tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
