POSITION DESCRIPTION – Facility Engineer (GMP Facility)
Job Title: Facility Engineer
Location: Brisbane
Overview:
SRNA is seeking a highly skilled Facility Engineer to join our team at Southern RNA. The Facility Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and compliance of our facility's infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering principles, facility management, and a comprehensive understanding of GMP regulations within the pharmaceutical industry.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day maintenance activities of the facility, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, HVAC systems, and building infrastructure.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure the reliability and integrity of critical equipment and systems.
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialised maintenance and repairs as needed.
- Be the responsible person onsite for facility & where possible equipment maintenance
Compliance and Regulatory Adherence:
- Ensure that all facility operations and maintenance activities comply with GMP regulations, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential compliance issues and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records related to facility maintenance, repairs, and compliance activities.
Project Management:
- Lead facility improvement projects, renovations, and upgrades from inception to completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and coordination of resources.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Validation, Operations, and Quality Assurance, to support facility-related projects and initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in facility management, preferably within a GMP pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of GMP regulations, FDA guidelines, and industry standards related to facility operations and maintenance.
- Proficient in project management methodologies, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing facility-related challenges.
- Familiarity with computerised maintenance management systems (EMS & BMS)
- Authorisation to work in Australia.
