The Target Healthcare Group is a niche pharmaceutical developer, manufacturers and supplier to the retail pharmacy, hospital, pharmaceutical wholesaler, and homecare markets.
Within the Group, Target Healthcare is the UK’s leading manufacturer and supplier of unlicensed medicines and hard-to source products. We offer an unrivalled product range, backed by expert knowledge and exceptional customer service. Throughout the UK the Group employs over 450 staff including pharmacists, skilled technicians, HR, IT, procurement, warehouse and customer services staff.
Due to our continue growth, we are looking to add a Group Procurement Support to our Group Procurement Team. As a Group Procurement Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services necessary for our operations.
As a Group Procurement Support your key responsibilities will include, although are not limited to:
Vendor Management
A degree is preferable in Business, Supply Chain Management, or similar related field. We will however look at more than just your academic results and will also consider your strengths, values, and motivations.
In addition, you should be able to demonstrate.

As a Group Procurement Support your key responsibilities will include, although are not limited to:
Vendor Management
- Identify, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers based on criteria such as cost, quality, delivery, and reliability.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, negotiating favourable terms and agreements.
- Sourcing and Procurement:
- Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, products, and services.
- Analyse and compare supplier proposals to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand procurement needs and develop procurement plans.
- Review contracts, ensuring terms and conditions are achieving the best value for the company.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with contractual agreements.
- Review and manage Group Insurance policies with internal stakeholders and external brokers to maintain appropriate levels of cover.
- Cost Management:
- Negotiate pricing and terms to achieve cost savings without compromising quality.
- Track and analyse procurement costs, identifying opportunities for cost reduction.
- Quality Assurance:
- Collaborate with other departments to establish quality standards for purchased goods and services.
- Monitor and evaluate supplier performance to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions, contracts, and agreements.
- Generate regular reports on procurement activities, providing insights to management.

- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal, with contributions to presentations and reports.
- Ability to engage and build professional relationships with internal, external suppliers and other stakeholders.

- Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
