About Joint Research Laboratory on Advanced Pharma Development

The JRL is a joint initiative of the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) and Tecnalia supported by Diputación Foral de Álava to promote research in pharmaceutical developments. The objectives of this initiative include:

• Promote research collaboration in the fundamentals of 3D printing and 3D bioprinting,
• Promote research in new pharmaceutical forms
• Increase scientific production by means of high quality scientific journals and intellectual property.
• Explore transfer routes of the intellectual property to the surrounding business network, providing a value chain for the community.
• Select PhD candidates which will become the doctors and professionals in the field.
• Attract financing from public regional and European funds.

Job description:

TECNALIA, together with The Joint Research Laboratory on Advanced Pharma Development invites applications for a Group Leader position in new pharmaceutical developments in collaboration with the established projects based in developing 3D printing technology for fabricating pharmaceuticals and medical devices.

The candidate is expected to acquire competitive national and European funding and drive scientific and technical innovation. He/she will work at the interface of multiple research fields while promoting collaborations with international and national research centers and will work as a member of Pharma Lab_services area in TECNALIA, being part of the Joint Research Lab on Advanced Pharma Development initiative.

It is also essential to have outstanding oral and written communication skills and be fluent in English. Knowledge of Spanish and/or Basque will be considered useful, but it is not compulsory.

Requirements:

Studies: PhD in Health Sciences

Experience: at least 5 years experience

Languages: outstanding oral and written communication skills and be fluent in English. Knowledge of Spanish and/or Basque will be considered useful, but it is not compulsory.
