Job Summary:

Digital Experience Manager is responsible for the management and ownership of digital media projects for Terumo Medical Corporation (TMC) and its divisions and management of the marketing technology (martech) stack. This role is part of the Digital Experience team under Communications and Brand Experience, part of the Marketing Organization for Terumo Interventional Systems (TIS), and will support the digital initiatives of Marketing, Corporate Communications, Brand Communications, Human Resources, and other business units within TMC. The Digital Experience Manager will work independently to manage projects for TIS and TMC, working with key stakeholders to optimize their content and recommend best means of delivery through various digital channels. Uses web best practices to optimize the sites for optimal consumption of the content, including SEO principles, understanding of marketing technology, and mobile best practices. This individual will manage multiple projects for the fast-moving team and partner with the brand communications teams, and corporate communication managers to support the organizational content delivery needs. They will manage projects with internal customers and external agencies and will be the bridge to bring uniformity to the projects and uphold the brand of Terumo externally, as well as manage content for Terumo and digital strategy internally.

Job Details:

Manage multiple concurrent strategic digital projects for the TMC and TIS organization including but not limited to: intranet, external websites, search and SEO strategies, web video, digital advertising, paid and organic search initiatives, web accessibility considerations, buying journeys and mobile applications for the business.

Strategize with internal customers to identify their needs and advise on the marketing technology that would be the best solution to meet their time/budget/communication needs.

Scope projects with customers and manage onboarding of agencies, and management of agency’s budget and scope of work for the duration of the project. Develop creative briefs for projects, and draft RFP’s (Request for Proposals) to find the right external partner. Manage timeline and budget spend of the client with said partners.

Ability to work independently and lead project initiatives and project teams.

Troubleshoot and test all initiatives developed to ensure compatibility and accuracy of development. Manage launch plans of initiatives.

Partake in strategy meetings to advise on future plans and future projects as they fit within the company’s marketing technology strategy.

Manage web initiatives both internal and external through the Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Content Management System (CMS) platform to ensure users receive an engaging and educational customer experience.

Position Requirements:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)

Strong project manager that thrives in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects across digital media concurrently for the business.

Strong digital media acumen and ability to advise on and manage marketing technology solutions.

Strong knowledge of digital media delivery platforms including intranet, external websites, search and SEO strategies, web video, digital advertising, paid and organic search initiatives, web accessibility considerations, and mobile applications for the business. CRM and Marketing Automation experience is a plus.

Understanding of business priorities to balance a large number of projects of varying degrees of complexity, adjust project schedules when necessary, and meet deadlines and budget restrictions despite changes.

High-level interpersonal skills to effectively coordinate projects with multiple organizational levels of internal and external resources.

Strong ability to meet with non-technical internal customers, understand their communication needs, advise on best digital technology to meet their needs. Interpretation and analytical ability to translate marketing objectives and feedback from internal and external resources into communication strategies and tactics. Strong team player that can deliver requirements clearly to the technical team, and support management of scope, timelines and deliverables.

Possess strong project management, organizational, and communication skills both written and verbal.

Ability to reason logically and creatively, identifying problems, drawing valid conclusions from the data available, and developing effective solutions while applying creative thinking in the design and development of high performing web applications.

Analytical ability to assess and resolve multi-faceted and complicated communication and design issues.

Goal oriented and self-motivated.

Background Experiences

Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 12+ years of digital marketing / digital communications / digital experience / interactive / digital media project management experience of increasing responsibility required, or a combination of prior work experience, education, or combination thereof.

Prior roles of increasing responsibility and project lead opportunities.

Prior experience in the medical device industry and/or pharmaceutical industry highly desired.

Strong working knowledge of digital marketing technologies, managing internal and corporate websites, mobile applications, and ability to understand and advise on the technical development of such initiatives.

Strong desire to stay ahead of the trends and ability to research and apply emerging technologies.

Expertise in Microsoft Office required, and exposure to Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) a strong plus. Experience with CRM platforms and marketing automation technologies also a plus.
