Bank Band 8a Clinical Pharmacist

We are looking for hospital experienced pharmacists to work on bank as part of our temporary staffing workforce. Hours of work are flexible and include weekends/public holidays. You should demonstrate initiative, be proactive with the ability work in a team and be flexible in your approach. It is essential that you are registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
The Pharmacy Department provides a reliable quality patient centred service with empathy, enthusiasm and commitment. The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is an acute and specialist services provider in North West London situated south of Uxbridge and near to Heathrow Airport. It is the only acute Hospital in the London Borough of Hillingdon, delivering high quality healthcare to a local community. The Trust offers a wide range of services including a busy Accident and Emergency, maternity, intensive care, inpatients, day surgery and outpatient clinics.
Job Summary

• Main hospital site will be Hillingdon Hospital and to lead, develop and deliver clinical pharmacy service provision for the critical care and surgical speciality.
• To partake in specialised clinical pharmacy duties ensuring core clinical pharmacy activities are undertaken.
• To lead on pharmacy aspects associated with parental nutrition
• Working with other pharmacy staff and the multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, effective and economic use of medicines.
• Leadership, management and directorate/service support roles.
• To line manage and support more junior pharmacists in the listed directorates including support for day to day pharmacy operations for the site.
• To take full part in clinical/dispensary rota and bank holidays duties.
