General Summary:


This position is responsible for managing product readiness of Vertex’s commercial small molecule products in the international region, such as new pack launches, life cycle projects, launches with existing packs.

For successful supply readiness, this position overlooks and coordinate the supply chain readiness for a first product entry. This can be from manufacturing finished packs to 3PLs or distributors in destination markets working closely across functions (Commercial/Marketing, Regulatory, Packaging Engineering, Artwork, Quality, Production Planning, CMO, Distribution Quality, Demand Planning, 3PL and Logistics). The manager will work closely with the Product Lead(s) in the team, with other functions within Supply Chain such as Regional business partners, Production Planning and Logistics.


This is a hybrid position based in London, UK, and will report directly to the Sr. Director of International Supply Chain – Product Management.


Key Duties And Responsibilities:


Content of Product management and continuous improvements;


Support execution of new product launch (NPL) and Life Cycle Management (LCM) projects for International supply chain:

  • Execution and support supply readiness per product launch timelines
  • Execute for the project team for product launches in the Commercial Manufacturing & Supply Chain organization and if follow up with other functions in the Vertex organizations (Commercial, Marketing, Finance, Regulatory, Regulatory Labelling, Quality, Distribution Quality) and 3PLs for late stage customization, pack readiness support, NPS, and IPS
  • Manage triage meetings for change controls and actively follow up with stakeholders on the project plan, Change Controls, tracking status in launch meeting
  • Provide progress updates and project communications to product leads and applicable management.
  • Support team on updating (QA) documents, change controls, deviations and CAPAs if needed.


Continuous Improvement In The Processes Related To Launch Readiness:

  • Support and coordinate Continuous improvement projects related processes for launches
  • Liaise with internal Project management forums to align on CI approach.


Education


Bachelors required, preferably in engineering or business


Experience


  • Pharmaceutical Supply chain management experience with understanding of regulatory environment
  • Strong understanding of GMP and GDP regulations/requirements and Change Control Processes
  • Experience in executing small commercial launch projects
  • Ability to execute and follow up in projects according agreed timelines
  • Flexibility and collaboration, as company and team are growing in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Eye for improvements and ability to bring solutions to the table
