Your responsibility as the Solution Specialist for Medical Device Software Development is to offer advice and support to clients in the medical technology and life science sectors throughout the initiation and realization of software development projects. You offer your expertise on every step of the way, starting from the technical concept and ending with the implementation of ground-breaking medical devices that shape the market.
Your tasks include:
  • Creating client presentations, project concepts, offers, and other materials for client communication and gaining new clients
  • Advising clients on the definition and design of successful products for their industry, the technical implementation of their solutions and the successful implementation of projects
  • Establishing new software development projects and taking on the role of technical leader for project teams in the early stages of new projects
  • Producing expert publications and presentations for industry-specific media and events
  • Trustworthy collaboration and relationship building with decision-makers at client organizations
  • Identifying the requirements, obstacles, and potential solutions in the client's organization
Your Profile

You will also need the following skills and experience:
  • Extensive experience in the IT field as a software architect, software developer, or consultant for several years
  • Background in the medical technology or life science industry required
  • Experience overseeing software development teams in a technical leadership role
  • Solid expertise in creating, developing, documenting, and ensuring the quality of software solutions for medical devices
  • Experience in software development for Linux and Windows using C++, C#, .NET, embedded and desktop required
  • Preferably experience in application technologies for interoperable medical devices and related protocols for connectivity solutions (e.g., SDC / gRPC / MQTT)
  • Preferably additional experience in other application technologies (e.g. cloud solutions, web applications, IoT, mobile apps) and mainstream programming languages/frameworks (e.g. Java / Spring, TypeScript / Node.js / Angular / React, Python)
  • Knowledge and experience in handling common medical technologies and standards such as HL7 FHIR, DICOM, IEEE 11073 SDC as well as development processes and industry standards (e.g. ISO 13485, IEC 62304, etc.) within the medical technology or life science sector
  • Hands-on experience in carrying out software development projects using agile methodologies (especially SCRUM) and configuring technical project infrastructure (e.g. continuous delivery/integration, infrastructure as code, etc.)
  • Knowledge about common cybersecurity requirements (especially in healthcare) and appropriate solution choices
  • Skilled in stakeholder management and coaching
  • Full proficiency in English for business purposes and preferably also in German
  • Readiness to travel
  • Pronounced client orientation and affinity to sales and business development
  • Very target-driven and trustworthy
  • Remarkable communication and presentation abilities, accompanied by a professional demeanour
  • Working in a self-directed and responsible manner
  • Emphasis on maintaining high quality standards and a creative approach
