Our client, a diagnostic company focused on the detection of human diseases, supplying diagnostic and analytical tools, reagents, and services for the pharmaceutical and medical industries is looking for an Intern to work in their Clinical R&D Lab on a contract basis. This is an ideal opportunity for a student to gain valuable hands-on experience as an Clinical R&D Intern in a clinical research laboratory.
Salary/Hourly Rate
$16 – $17/hr
Position Overview
The Clinical R&D Intern prepare reports of patient assay findings, help prepare abstracts and posters for presentation at scientific conferences, help prepare papers to journals. The Clinical R&D Intern will assist in maintaining an orderly workplace and equipment in working order.
Responsibilities Of The Clinical R&D Intern
  • Process patient and control blood samples using developed protocols
  • Prepare workstations and record incoming clinical samples and documentation
  • Microscope imaging, recording images and pertinent data
  • Maintain laboratory notebooks to record all significant activities and results
  • Collect, track and record clinical data
  • Follow and help develop SOPs under guidance of supervisor
Qualifications For The Clinical R&D Intern
  • Basic knowledge in general biological laboratory procedures and safety with an interest in cell biology
  • Ability to use Microsoft office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint software)
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to follow instructions in a laboratory setting and attention to detail a must
  • An interest in independent research projects from basic oncology through translational clinical research is a plus
  • Ability to work 20 to 40 hours/week
Education Requirements
  • Student or recent graduate, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biological Sciences or related program
