Epidemiologist / Senior Epidemiologist
I am partnered with a global pharmaceutical company on a brand-new role within their Epidemiology team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an evolving business who are putting their growth and vision at the forefront of what they do. They are looking for a successful and proven leader that can push the brands marketed and upcoming products towards the front of the industry.
The Role
This role offers a unique opportunity to utilize and advance professional skills in a demanding international field by joining an international, growing, and highly motivated team.
- Engage in cross-functional collaboration to formulate robust Real-World Evidence (RWE) strategies tailored to assigned products and therapeutic domains.
- Lead the design, implementation, and supervision of epidemiology/RWE studies, ensuring the clear dissemination of findings to pertinent internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute expertise and review RWE/epidemiology studies, external publications, critical assessments, and related documents.
- Foster collaborative ties internally while cultivating and sustaining an external network within the industry.
- Craft epidemiological/RWE segments of regulatory papers promptly and accurately, encompassing submissions, Risk Management Plans (RMPs), breakthrough or orphan designations, among others.
- Offer consultation on epidemiological/RWE methodologies to colleagues across functions and regions.
Key Requirements
- Advanced degree (e.g., doctoral degree such as PhD, MD) or master’s degree (e.g., MBA, MSc) in Epidemiology, Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR), Medicine, or a related discipline.
- Proficient epidemiologist adept in designing, executing, and supervising epidemiological/Real-World Evidence (RWE) studies.
- Extensive background in epidemiology or a correlated domain within pharmaceuticals, Contract Research Organizations (CROs), Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR), or related functions, preferably spanning various stages of development and commercialization. Possesses deep insights into medical, regulatory, and payer systems across one or more global regions.
- Embraces a collaborative, proactive approach to work while demonstrating the ability to operate somewhat autonomously.
- Exhibits strong verbal and written communication skills within interdisciplinary environments.
- Thrives in high-pressure environments, showcasing a dedication to exceptional performance and effectiveness within complex organizational structures.
- Displays fluency in English, both written and spoken.
