Lets do this. Lets change the world. In this vital role you will champion strategies for RWD gap assessment and value of all administrative claims, electronic health records and/or relevant databases available for analytics.
The Regulatory Real World Evidence (RWE) and Data Strategy Manager sits within the Center for Observational Researchs (CfOR), Data & Analytic Center (DAC) and is dedicated to providing oversight for Real world Data (RWD) strategy and RWD inventory for all of CfOR. Liaise between CfOR Product Leads and the CfOR DAC to provide fit-for-purpose support and strategic RWD options for producing RWE. Additional responsibilities include handling external RWD partnerships and collaborations and contributing to advancing methods for producing RWE for regulatory decision making.
Key Activities Include

• Lead or contribute to development of innovative methods to further CfOR capabilities in assessing or supporting data purchases.
• Conduct RWD Mapping and gap analyses: Mapping of Product pipeline and portfolio to RWE use cases to RWD assets
• External RWD landscape assessment and tracking of emerging trends
• Handling existing and encouraging new external RWD partnerships and collaborations
• EHR and other RWD evaluations and assessments
• Development of RWD valuation metrics such return on investment, cost offset, RWD comparison metrics.
• Coordinate with CfOR Product Leads to anticipate and evaluate all current and future data purchases for anticipated use for studies within CfOR
• Lead or handle activities providing data strategy to functions external to CfOR
• Stay abreast of the latest developments in new databases associated with the field of observational research
• Develop and manage relationships with key leaders in the Center for Observational Research

What We Expect Of You
We are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. The Observational Research Manager we seek is equipped with these qualifications:
Basic Qualifications

• Doctorate degree Or
• Master's degree and 3 years of related research and scientific experience Or
• Bachelor's degree and 5 years of related research and scientific experience Or
• Associate's degree and 10 years of related research and scientific experience Or
• High School diploma / GED and 12 years of related research and scientific experience
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Doctorate in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Statistics or subject with high observational research content.
• Experience in the design, execution, and analysis of pharmacoepidemiology studies or observational research studies within the pharmaceutical industry
• Knowledge of observational research regulations/guidance documents
• Experience in research to support data purchase strategy
• Deep understanding of EHR and claims databases
• Experience communicating observational research information (written and oral)
  

Additional Qualifications and Knowledge

• Programming in SAS, R, SQL, Python or other software (e.g. STATA) an asset
• Knowledge of advanced statistical methods, epidemiology methodology and applications within drug development
• Knowledge and experience using administrative claims data, electronic health records or and registry databases
