Senior Manager University Medicine Excellence

The Position
As Global Senior Manager University of Medicine Excellence, you will be accountable for all activities related to Student Affairs and to Academic Affairs within the University of Medicine Excellence (UME).
The UME has been a critical strategic enabler for the transformation of Global Medicine and the Human Pharma Business Unit. Its vision is to provide a world-class, tailor-made education program to upskill critical Asset Team (AT), Clinical Development (CD) and Medical Affairs (MA) roles to reach our aspiration of maximizing speed and value to deliver better treatments to patients faster. It will ensure BI is positioned as a leading workplace by offering a best-in-class talent development program to attract, develop and retain employees.
The Global Senior Manager University of Medicine Excellence is an essential strategic leadership role and integral member of the small high impact team delivering on this vision.
Tasks & responsibilities

• In your new role as Global Senior Manager University of Medicine Excellence, you will be a key member of a small high impact team, taking a leadership role in defining and aligning the strategic goals of the UME and then executing the business plan to shape the delivery of an innovative, high quality, student-centric UME program.
• You will be responsible for the assessment, enrollment, onboarding, academic counselling and guidance of high-profile international students throughout their educational journey.
• In addition, you will oversee the design, content development, implementation and management of a large-scale educational program and the management of external partnerships with world-class academic institutions and other prominent external partners. This will also include assessing the impact and driving continual enhancements to the program.
• Furthermore, you will be responsible for supporting the development of a close network of UME students and alumni within One Medicine and beyond.
• You will also be responsible for ensuring the alignment with other learning organizations throughout Human Pharma and with the BI University.
  

Requirements

• Master’s degree in adult education, business administration, pedagogy, psychology or similar
• Longstanding experience in adult education or education in life sciences and/or medicine
• Coaching and facilitation skills considered an asset
• Proven track record in a managerial or professional position with focus on learning strategy implementation and program management
• Experienced in managing senior internal stakeholders, educational institutions and/or external partners.
• Experienced in facilitating big audiences both face to face and virtually
• Basic understanding and experience of pharmaceutical business and especially clinical drug development and medical affairs
• Energy, speed and ambition to build and continually improve BI’s training activities to bring and maintain them at a world class level
• Fluency in oral and written English; further language skills would be an asset
