Senior NDS Project Lead

The Position
Peptide drugs are one of the most exciting areas in the pharmaceutical industry. You have experience in the non-clinical safety evaluation of peptide therapeutics and would like to contribute on an efficient development for optimal patient benefit?
We offer the chance of a scientific leadership position within the department of non-clinical drug safety in Germany. As a Scientific leader for NDS you will have the responsibility to oversee projects at different stages from a nonclinical drug safety perspective.
This position is part time eligible with 80%.
Tasks & responsibilities

• You will implement successful project strategies for peptide drug development in awareness of external requirements or benchmark project strategies.
• Furthermore, you will plan, conduct and supervise preclinical development programs for therapeutic peptides.
• You will provide scientific leadership by providing advice and mentoring for scientists of NDS and other functions/departments.
• Moreover, you will actively develop and implement successful project strategies in support of the pipeline and Portfolio and in high awareness of external requirements or benchmark project strategies.
• You will represent NDS at Health Authority meetings as well as author and review NDA/DIR/IND submission documents.
• The interaction with internal and external stakeholders including regulatory authorities on a global basis will be also part of your tasks.
  

Requirements

• PhD or equivalent degree in Human Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, Biochemistry, Biology, or comparable training/education
• Longstanding Experience in the non-clinical safety evaluation of therapeutic peptides, specialization in toxicology or toxicopathology
• Experience as expert author of non-clinical documents such as IB or CTDs
• Training in pathology (board certificate) or toxicology (board certificate) or comparable experience
