Role Overview Help to develop and then support the Platform Sustainability Strategy. This will be aligned with the expectations of our customers and consistent with the Group Sustainability Strategy. Support with the Regional MDs and site leaders to ensure a robust set of projects are in place which align with the ambition of the Group strategy. Manage the monthly and annual sustainability reporting including analysis of variances. Support the sector teams in establishing mitigation plans for any variances. Manage external ESG audits and co-ordinate the responses to customer requirements. Understand current and future regulatory and best practice reporting requirements and advise the regional MDs and site leaders as appropriate. Provide knowledge and insight on key Environmental, Social and Governmental (ESG) metrics to support the platform’s sustainability agenda. Key Responsibilities Strategy development – Work with the Regional MDs and Site Leaders to facilitate a set of strategies and action plans at a regional and site level to deliver the Platform and Group goals. Support the Group Sustainability Leader and Platform ESG sponsor to ensure all plans are aligned with the Group strategy and ambition. Strategy execution – have visibility of the implementation of key initiatives, identify variations to plan and work with project teams to mitigate slippages. Subject matter expertise – keep abreast of latest ESG thinking and trends. Ensure the implications for the Platform are understood and communicated appropriately. Communication – act as an evangelist for ESG within the Platform. Ensure our strategy, progress and new initiatives are appropriately promoted and communicated. Reporting - manage monthly environmental reporting for the Platform. Identify and implement processes to capture new reporting metrics. ESG data management – driving forwards improvements in data collection, quality, and assurance of sustainability metrics. Management of external audits – keep abreast of new sustainability reporting requirements and standards of best practice. Ensure our participation in audits and responses meet the requirements of our stakeholders and are co-ordinated. Liaison with Group Better World team – liaise with the group team on development of the sustainability strategy and reporting. Work with external consultants when appropriate. Critical Competencies for Success At least 5 years’ experience in industry. Degree or comparable qualification/experience in environmental science, sustainability, or related field is desirable. Experience working in a multinational corporate environment. Passionate about sustainability. Knowledge of TCFD and GRI standards is desirable. Experience in developing and implementing sustainability strategies is desirable. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present complex data clearly. Strong project management skills. Delivery and continuous improvement mindset. Positive can-do attitude. Proactive problem solver, able to work independently and as part of a small team. Collaborative team player who will embrace IMI’s ‘One Big Team’. Effective stakeholder engagement skills and ability to influence at all levels. Strong IT/system skills. Key Relationships VP Product and Engineering Automation Technologies. The Regional Sector Team MDs. The remaining members of the Platform Executive. Head of Group Sustainability Additional Information Opportunity to study for a relevant sustainability qualification. Some international travel will be required.
