For our Cell Therapy organization in the US, we are looking for a Head Point of Care Operations (Senior Director)
Scope of the job
Leading a cross functional team securing a differentiated CAR-T experience among key customers and partners . Strategically and operationally plan to secure supply and demand for patients who can benefit from CAR-T.
This role delivers a best-in-class customer experience through setting up fully integrated collaborations between PMUs and CTS, making use of innovative customer systems and technologies. In addition, the Head Point of Care Operations ensures a seamless team approach and optimized use of manufacturing and logistics capacity.

Your Role More In Detail
- Set up team to secure/maximize the opportunity for clinical trials and commercialization in the US.
- Define the initial US PMU strategic and operational roadmap, including key milestones.
- Define, recruit, and organize the core team that will lead and implement the US PMU strategy.
- Secure manufacturing capacity to ensure a future-proof supply that matches expected demand.
- Create engagement at prospective sites for involvement in clinical trial programs.
- A feedback and learning organization to provide ICE team and other geographies with insights.
- Establish relationships with Healthcare Networks to expand patient reach.
- Engage with Key Opinion Leaders (KOL) in therapeutic areas to build excitement and drive patient recruitment.
- Interface (lead) with Clinical Trial Sties (CTS) to ensure a healthy on-going relationship with GLPG and the local PMU.
- Advanced degree in life sciences.
- Broad experience in drug development and manufacturing. Knowledge about Cell and Gene Therapy. Understanding of the US healthcare market.
- Preferable experience with FDA/IND in filing and approving new drugs.
- Experience in setting up networks and (Key Opinion Leader) relationships.
- Having led large scale and complex projects in a matrix and international science-based company, or having scaled a biotechnology or med tech company is a plus.
- Able to build a team of directs reports and functional members.
- Strong knowledge of development processes and regulatory requirements across US.
- Great understanding of medical science network and regulations in the US.
- Able to lead relationships with internal and external stakeholders, navigating ambiguity and competing priorities.
- Excellent analytical, planning and organizing skills.
- Flexible and can-do mentality with an inclusive engaging leadership style, creating a feedback and high-performance culture.
- A strong customer focus.
