At GSK Japan, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Artificial Intelligence (AI) Engineering Lead. As an AI Engineering Lead, you will be at the forefront of driving innovative solutions using artificial intelligence, contributing to the development of cutting-edge technologies in the pharmaceutical domain. This is a leadership position that requires expertise in Python and TypeScript programming, proficiency in cloud technologies (especially Azure), strong system development skills, and a deep understanding of Natural Language Processing (NLP). Fluency in both Japanese and English, coupled with effective team management skills, is crucial for successful collaboration across our international teams.
Key Responsibilities Of The Role Are As Follows.
Programming Proficiency

• Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality AI solutions.
• Demonstrate strong capabilities in both Python and TypeScript programming languages.
  

Cloud Expertise

• Showcase expertise in cloud technologies, with a strong emphasis on Azure services.
• Architect, deploy, and manage cloud-based solutions.
  

System Development

• Lead and contribute to the development of scalable and robust systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and specifications.
  

Team Management

• Lead and mentor a team of developers, providing guidance and support for their professional growth.
• Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture.
  

NLP Experience

• Bring hands-on experience in Natural Language Processing (NLP) to enhance our language-related applications and projects.
  

Language Skills

• Possess English and Japanese reading and writing skills to facilitate effective communication with both domestic and international stakeholders.
  

必要な条件Basic Qualification
スキル Skill

• End-to-end agile solution delivery skill in web application development from market research, ideation, design, prototype development, implementation to production.
• Proficiency in system design and development.
• Proven experience in software development with a focus on Python and TypeScript.
• Strong background in cloud technologies, especially Azure.
• Solid understanding and practical experience in Natural Language Processing.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships with business partners and influence outcomes at different levels.
  

経験 Experience

• More than 5 years of industrial experience in solving real life business problems.
• More than 3 years of hands-on experience in a production environment on any cloud platform.
• Experience with command-line scripting, data structures, and algorithms; ability to work in a Unix environment.
• Demonstrated experience in team management and leadership.
  

学位/資格/語学力 Education/certification/Language

• Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
• Exceptional business communication skills in both Japanese and English.
  

望ましい条件 Preferred Qualification
スキル Skill

• Skill in leading a multifunctional team for at least a complete project cycle.
• Knowledge of Azure AI Search, Databricks, Azure Data Lake, Azure AI Services is highly preferred. Understanding AWS and GCP cloud platforms is a plus.
  

経験 Experience

• Pharmaceutical or healthcare industry experience
• Working in multinational diverse environment
  

学位/資格/語学力 Education/certification/Language

• Project Management Education or equivalent certificate (Agile preferred)
