Please note that this is a Manchester based role and our current hybrid working arrangement is Tuesday’s and Thursday’s in the office.


We could also consider candidates part-time, three days per week.


Summary of our role

Reporting to the CEO, the People Director will spearhead leadership for our People team. This pivotal role is instrumental in shaping and evolving our organisational culture, prioritising the well-being and professional development of our teams, and driving change management initiatives. You’ll play a critical role in fostering a supportive and growth-oriented environment, and leading initiatives that align with our strategic goals and values.

What you can expect to be doing…

· Take a leading role in delivering our company’s people strategy, working alongside our established team of HR professionals, overseeing all workstreams such as ED&I, engagement, leadership development, L&D, talent management, performance, retention and wellbeing.

· Champion best practice and high quality in our operational delivery of processes, policies and procedures

· Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, keeping policies and practices up-to-date.

· Build and maintain relationships with managers at all levels, providing coaching and guidance on a variety of HR matters, ensuring fair and consistent application of HR policies and procedures.

· Champion and implement diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts throughout all of our people practices

· Partner with leadership to provide guidance on team development, performance improvement, conflict resolution, and employee relations matters.

· Lead a team of 9 HR professionals in their day to day delivery and ongoing development

· Collaborate with HR colleagues in the wider Havas network keeping close to developments and initiatives required locally


This could be a great fit for you if you have…


· A minimum of 10 years of experience in similar HR roles, within high-growth companies, with a focus in shared services or employee relations roles

· In-depth knowledge of UK employment laws and regulations, with the ability to interpret and apply them in a practical and fair manner.

· Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and build relationships at all levels

· The ability to think pragmatically and balance the need for speed and attention to detail, while ensuring compliance and consistency

· Excellent organisational and project management skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines

· Strong analytical skills, with experience using data to inform decision-making,
