Job Opportunity: National Key Account Manager - Consumer/Retail

Location: Melbourne

Are you passionate about driving sales and fostering growth within the consumer and retail sector?

Our leading Client has an exciting opportunity for a Key Account Manager to join their Melbourne team and make a significant impact in the Australian and New Zealand markets.

Objectives of the Position: As a Key Account Manager, you will play a crucial role in maximizing sales revenue and profitability within designated accounts. Your primary focus will be to increase sales, manage existing accounts, and develop new growth opportunities while ensuring excellent customer service and satisfaction.

Having experience managing key accounts such as Coles, BIG W, Chemist Warehouse, Priceline, Baby Bunting and more will be required for this position. Please only apply to this role if you have experience working with some of the above organisations as a Key Account Manager.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve financial and market growth goals
  • Build and maintain productive relationships with major accounts and customers
  • Identify and develop new market opportunities and channels
  • Resolve customer inquiries and complaints to ensure satisfaction
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets through effective sales tactics and strategies
  • Develop annual business plans with key accounts and execute them effectively
  • Implement in-depth key account plans to enhance overall business efficiency
  • Attend trade shows and functions to promote products and services
  • Conduct oneself with professionalism and integrity in all business dealings

Required Skill Set:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in clinical and/or business-related field
  • Experience within the FMCG,Retail or Pharmaceutical space is a must have for this role
  • Minimum of 5 years of successful sales and sales management experience
  • Excellent verbal, written, analytical, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong commercial acumen and knowledge of the Australian retail market
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required
