In the current environment of U.S. healthcare with a prominent focus placed on efficiency and affordability, ensuring patient access to innovative treatments is of utmost importance, but increasingly challenging. In this challenging environment, the Real-World Value & Evidence (RWV&E) organization must ensure we obtain robust payer insights, deliver unrivaled value evidence, be payer-centric, execute timely real world data analytics, and develop flawless and impactful communication of the value of Janssen's innovations for payers and society.
Intern Program Overview
The Intern Program is a comprehensive learning and professional experience at one of the world’s leading health care companies.
The average duration for the internship opportunities is 10-12 weeks of full-time work.
In this role, you could expect to gain experiences and have responsibilities in the following areas as a member of the RWV&E team:
  • Understand the pharmaceutical industry organization
  • Recognize the value and role of real-world evidence generation (e.g. health economic and outcomes research) in modern healthcare
  • Gain competency in review and analysis of scientific literature
  • Develop medical writing and data interpretation skills
  • Prepare and conduct presentations to internal stakeholders
  • Verbally communicate economic and clinical research findings to various cross-functional teams
  • Participate in observational research projects
  • Work within a team to identify and fill existing gaps in scientific evidence or business needs.
Qualifications:
Successful Summer Interns are required to:
  • Have permanent work authorization in the US. We cannot consider students requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Commit to 10 – 12 weeks in the May – August 2024 timeframe.
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours per week) during the summer internship.
  • Have a cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher, reflective of all college coursework.
  • Currently be enrolled in an accredited College/University, pursuing a Masters/MBA or PHD degree (not necessarily actively taking classes). Preferred fields are Public Health, Health Services Research, Economics, Epidemiology, Health Policy, Data Sciences, Pharmacy, or related fields.
  • Must not be a Freshman or a Senior graduating prior to program end date (Seniors must be willing/allowed to extend graduation date)
  • A passion for Neuroscience therapeutic area is preferred.
